Home Care Aide
Provide a copy of a current Nurse Aide License from the State of Michigan (if Certified).
Home Care aides will wear nametags above the waist at all times while client is in their care.
Care N Assist employees will wear appropriate uniforms.
Scrubs are recommended but not required.
Long shorts are acceptable sports shorts are not.
T-shirts with printed messages are discouraged.
Home Care Aides will utilize the Rosemark system for clocking in and out per Shift.
Recognize assigned duties per Care Plan.
CPR status of client.
Emergency contact person.
Health history and their impact of care on the client.
Allergy awareness.
Employees are expected to provide a valued service to each client.
Any change needed to the Care Plan needs to be reported to the RN.
Primary Interventions
Personal Care Services
Bathing, Dressing, Toileting, Transferring and Ambulation will be provided to all clients requesting these services.
HCA will be able to use provided medical equipment to manage the care of the client. (i.e. walker, wheelchair, hospital bed, gait belt).
Home Making Services
Common light housekeeping, vacuuming, dishwashing, laundry services, and meal preparation will be provided along with personally requested services that fall within safety requirements for HCA.
Other tasks such as retrieving the mail, answering the phone, medication reminders and errands will be requested on an individual bases by the client and will be provided when they fall within the safety requirements for the HCA.
Companionship
Sitting with client to monitor for safety. 2. Reminiscence, reading and other activities to provide entertainment.
